November 2005            No Operator's Manual - No Service-Manual available...

 o  Opened the machine - Cleaned - Repaired input devices & Carriage cover
    Made tools for manual-operation...
 o  Unlocked the [X] key by removing temporary a critical lever -
    Saw that the machine was not adjusted correctly...
 o  Made the appropriate adjustments...
 o  ADD, SUBTRACT, CLEAR works manually & with motor power!
 o  Bent levers - removed rust - oiled - filed...
 o  MULT, DIV works manually & with motor power too...
 o  MEMORY (Write & Read) works too -
 o  Restored case parts with permanent marker and painted symbols...
 o  Restored dials too...
February 2006                                             NEW PROBLEM = fixed

     2 decimals are wrong     ==     10sCarry in COUNTER defect ?
 o  YES! Tooth broken / Replacement part installed...
               22/7    =    3.1428571             Division OK now
 o  2 missing DECIMAL-MARKERS hand-made from brass and aluminum:
      above the keyboard for division (eg.) and
      below the keyboard for multiplication (eg.)

Observation of a friend's working  Me-Eu-38MS  I got the insight:  Associated
levers in the carriage were minimal bent:  THANKS to Rainer Bruns!  I am also
grateful to Prof. Erhard Anthes for his help with valuable informations!
